Airlines To Extend Their Cheaper Fares To The End Of Summer

Airlines are now concerned about filling their seats in the planes. They are surviving through tough times amid recession and are adopting strategies to help them do that.

Many of the airline companies have already cut on capacities in order to comply with the drooping demand.

The situation is same with almost all the airline companies. Recently, American Airlines Inc, reported a 10.6 decline in its domestic traffic for the month o March. The capacity is also fell by 5.6 percent compared to same month-the previous year.

According to The International Air Transport Association, the number of passengers traveling in first class and business class tickets has fell by 16.7 percent in January. The sales of these tickets are significant as airlines make most of the profit from them.

The next strategy is cut-in-fares. The lower deals are tempting many people towards traveling in airplanes. Still the demand is not as bright as the previous times.
